MYAKKA CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — Cloud, a beloved Florida Beach Horses rescue horse, was found dead Friday after going missing last month.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies found the 16-year-old horse in an overgrown pond off Betts Road.
Deputies believe she wandered into the pond, got stuck in the mud and died.

Cloud was last seen alive on Jan. 9. She then mysteriously vanished from Florida Beach Horses’ barn in Myakka City.
The white and gray horse was one of the lead mares in Florida Beach Horses’ herd and became a favorite of guests who sign up to ride in Palma Sola Bay. She was receiving veterinary care at the time of her disappearance.
